Beau Domingue of Hammond High in Louisiana, an LSU signee, won the boys pole vault with a first-attempt clearance at 16-8 (5.08m) at Nike Outdoor Nationals at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Domingue was one of four male athletes to clear 16-8, but the only competitor to successfully make his opening four heights all on first attempts, before missing three opportunities at 17 feet (5.18m). He also became the first male athlete from Louisiana to win the pole vault title since Devin King in 2014.
